TEMPERED GLASS

Tempered glass is a type of safety glass that has been processed by controlled thermal or chemical treatments to increase its strength compared to normal glass. This process involves heating the glass to a high temperature and then rapidly cooling it, creating compressive stresses on the surface and tensile stresses inside. As a result, tempered glass is about four times stronger than annealed glass and, when broken, shatters into small, blunt pieces rather than sharp shards, reducing the risk of injury .
